Jesus taught that giving is a form of investment in the future God is bringing.

While most of the things we buy will end up in a landfill, Jesus suggests we have a chance to invest in something that will truly last: people. Giving is not an obligation or something to do from guilt or pressure. It’s a concrete way we can choose to practice love for God and neighbor. It’s an investment in justice, compassion, and human transformation and an opportunity to say our ‘yes’ to the new world that Jesus came to begin.
